What you'll do

  • Work closely with data scientists to understand data analysis and visualization strategies and construct efficient and scalable algorithms to implement those strategies
  • Integrate new production-level software for data analysis into the existing toolset
  • Build automated pipelines for developing, testing, and deploying data analytics applications

Who you are

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or other STEM degrees
  • Good experience in analyzing and crafting efficient algorithms
  • Good working knowledge of Data Science technology stacks including R, Python, Spark
  • Experience with large scale cloud-based data processing, such as AWS
  • Strongly disciplined approach to software development
  • Comfort with software development standard practices, including version control, unit testing, and code review
  • Good team worker, eager to learn, strong analytical skills, with good communications and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 3 years professional experience coding in Python, React, or related
  • Track record in developing and maintaining ML pipelines, tracking and achieving SLAs

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to drive business development efforts for AlphaROC. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a critical role in advancing our products and services across Wall Street, including both Buy and Sell-side institutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning our solutions with customer needs and achieving business goals.

What you'll do

  • Develop and manage prospects, territory plans, and opportunity pipelines while maintaining accurate forecasts
  • Create and implement prospecting and marketing strategies to position AlphaROC for future growth
  • Lead sales efforts by identifying and opening new market segments; leverage channel partners, alliances, and partnerships where applicable

Who you are

  • 5+ years of proven success in selling to the financial services industry
  • Deep understanding of the Financial Services landscape and a robust professional network
  • Experience in selling software products, research tools, or independent research is highly preferred

About the Role

We're looking for our first SDR to help build Alpharoc's commercial engine from the ground up. You'll be one of the first sales hires and will work directly with the founders to define outbound strategy, messaging, target accounts, and sales processes as we scale.

Someone excited about selling data and research to sophisticated Wall Street investors, who wants real ownership and a fast path to career growth

What you'll do

  • Own outbound prospecting into hedge funds, PE firms, asset managers, investment banks, and consulting firms
  • Identify and engage senior investment professionals (PMs, Analysts, Partners, CIOs, Heads of Research)
  • Execute thoughtful, multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, events) tailored to each strategy and firm
  • Book high-quality meetings for senior sales leadership and help build a predictable pipeline
  • Learn Alpharoc's platform and custom research offerings to clearly articulate value to investors
  • Collaborate closely with founders to refine ICPs, use cases, and positioning as (long/short equity, credit, macro, PE, etc.)
  • Provide direct feedback from prospects to influence pricing, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
  • Help establish SDR best practices, tooling, and playbooks as the team scales

Who you are

  • 1–3 years in SDR/BDR, sales, or a client-facing role (finance/fintech/data is a plus)
  • Strong interest in financial markets and how funds make decisions
  • Comfortable engaging senior professionals and navigating complex orgs
  • Motivated, resilient, competitive, and fast-learning
  • Clear communicator who can explain nuanced products
  • Builder mindset—you want to create, not just execute
